Proactive Approach to Physical Well-being
At ActionOnsite our commitment to your well-being goes beyond the ordinary. We believe in fostering a culture where each team member not only excels in their role but also feels empowered to prioritize their health and comfort. In this edition, we delve into a proactive approach to physical well-being – an initiative designed to recognize and address early signs of discomfort before they escalate. Let's explore the seven key pillars that form the foundation of our commitment to your health and continuous improvement.
1. Recognizing Discomfort Early: When a team member notices any ache or discomfort, we encourage them to report it to their onsite supervisor immediately. Early reporting is key to addressing issues before they escalate, and it allows ActionOnsite to intervene promptly.
2. Early Intervention with ActionOnsite: Upon receiving a report, the onsite supervisor contacts ActionOnsite to set up an Early Intervention session. Our skilled clinicians assess the current discomfort and work towards reducing it by 50%-80% during the first visit.
3. Ergonomic Job Coaching: We understand that each individual's work environment is unique. That's why our clinicians conduct Ergonomic Job Coaching in the team member's workspace to evaluate the root cause of the discomfort. During this process, our clinicians provide personalized coaching on proper body movement techniques to minimize the risk of injury.
4. Ergonomic Assessment for Continuous Improvement: Identifying ergonomic issues is crucial for long-term well-being. Our clinicians conduct thorough Ergonomic Assessments and report objective findings to site leaders. We discuss opportunities for advancements in the work area, recognizing that one size doesn't fit all, and engineering controls might be necessary.
5. Continuous Follow-up and Improvement: ActionOnsite believes in continuous improvement. Team members receive ongoing support, with 3-6 follow-up visits to ensure that physical discomfort is mitigated. We persistently address ergonomic issues until they are fully resolved, focusing on creating a safer and more comfortable work environment.
6. Integrating Micro-Breaks: To combat fatigue and overexertion, we teach team members how to integrate micro-breaks throughout their workday based on their specific job tasks. This personalized approach empowers individuals to take control of their work environment and promotes overall well-being.
7. Starting the Day Right: We encourage all team members to begin their day with a dynamic warm-up. This routine prepares them, the industrial athletes, for the day ahead, enhancing flexibility, strength, and overall readiness for their work tasks.
At ActionOnsite, our commitment goes beyond just addressing discomfort; we aim to empower all team members with the tools and knowledge needed to feel in control of their workday and environment. Proactive care is the foundation of a healthy and thriving workplace.
