A Systemic, Preventative Approach to Your
Employees’ Health
Program description
In order to make a change or a difference, Action Onsite comes to your work site and becomes part of your family. They are there to focus on the root of all injuries and potential injuries by assessing the work environment and work behaviors. By being at your work site the therapist becomes familiar with the culture of the business, the work processes, employees job titles and work descriptions. The therapist uses their knowledge and expertise in providing education in teaching how the body works more efficiently, addressing early signs and symptoms, and performs ergonomic assessments with the appropriate recommendations and follow up.
Action Onsite customizes their Onsite program to all companies
by providing:
- Flexible hours to cover all work shifts
- Daily or weekly visits
- Excellent communication skills with Safety Manager and workers
- Hands On approach
- Brief clinical assessments
- Education on how the body works and why it hurts
- Work methods training
- Work Stations Assessments
- JSA’s (Job Safety Analysis)
- PDA’s (Physical Demand Analysis)
We direct ourselves in providing a holistic approach in addressing the needs of the aging worker, new hires and current employees.
The Action Onsite program is an intervention between the employer and
the clinic.

By being on the work site, Action Onsite develops a relationship of trust with the employees giving them an opportunity to discuss early signs and symptoms with a medical health care provider and address the symptoms prior to becoming an injury. Early recognition is the key in decreasing potential injuries.
Early recognition is the key in decreasing potential injuries.
Being onsite allows the Therapist to provide education on work habits and techniques. Following up at the employees work station and demonstrating the correct work methods is a vital link in changing the work culture and the behaviors of your team members.
Even though the program is voluntary, employees are encouraged to see the Onsite therapist during breaks, prior to or after their work shift.
The program is designed to provide education and information on how the body functions during work tasks and activities. The Onsite therapist provides education and tips on using less forces on the body and how to work
more efficiently.
Workers should be tired after work not hurting.
Action Onsite trains the employees to "listen" to their bodies in preventative maintenance and personal accountability.

Massage
Employees are encouraged to make an appointment on their breaks for a
15 minute massage
- Massage has been proven to relax tight muscles, improve blood flow
and circulation. - Massage can make you more alert, increase performance and
decrease stress. - Many employees just need some hands-on, someone to listen, someone
to care. - Massage aids in relaxation, reduces muscle spasms.
- Massage provides greater joint flexibility.
- Improves posture
- Increase body awareness
Body Mechanics
Action Onsite training emphasizes proper body mechanics with work and home activities. This is done in a classroom setting or on a one to

Stretches and Exercise

Educating employees on the importance of stretching and exercise are two of the important activities that Action Onsite teaches.
Stretching and exercises will:
- Reduce muscle tension

- Improve mental alertness
- Decrease the risk of injury

Action Onsite will customize your stretching routine to the specific muscles needed for a specific job or classification. Once the stretches are chosen, we then create a poster with your team members modeling the stretches. Videos are also available to go along with the posters.
Stretches and exercises focus on:
- Stability
- Flexibility
- Balance
- Strength
Early Symptom Identification
Many employees tend to ignore their body pain and soreness by stating, “Oh it will go away,” or “I must have slept on it wrong.” Having the therapist available at the work site allows the employees to ask any questions they may have whether work related or not.
Ergonomic Assessments
An ergonomic assessment involves analyzing how the individual interacts with a workstation and their job's tasks. Basically, it looks at the person and their working environment. The Therapist then assesses the need to adjust and makes recommendations regarding the employee's workstation including, but not limited to: equipment, equipment height, tools, and processes.
Once the assessment is completed the information and recommendations are shared with the safety manager and the site trainers.
Ergonomic Employee Observations
Many workers tend to use extra force thus
working harder than what is required. The ergonomic employee observation is a way to
assess, observe, instruct and educate the team-
member in a more efficient and safer way
of working.
Phone Consultations
This service allows you to get immediate guidance by talking to a professional clinician.
A brief assessment is taken on the phone and appropriate recommendations are given.
